our story
It is a little crazy how my life’s experiences have lead me to create Dearest Little Decals. So many of the major events of my life contributed to it’s creation.
As a teenager I painted traditional murals for nurseries.
In 2006 I spent 4 months in China, and my eyes were opened to the hardships of this world. I was ignited with desire to make a difference somehow.
In 2014, my best friend lost her husband, and needed my help to redecorate as a source of happiness, as well as provide a comforting place to cope.
At that same time, my then 20 month old son drank turpentine, and I gave up oil painting because I never wanted to be the reason I called 911 for my child ever again. (Just incase you are wondering, he was fine)
I absolutely had to decorate a new nursery when I found out I was having a fourth boy, in 2015, and I regretted not doing it for all of my babies because it helped fill me with excitement and anticipation.
A year later my husband found me a FREE digital drawing tablet, and I got addicted. This is only a monumental event because my husband just lost his job, and we had no money to buy one.
I have found so much happiness in creating beautiful spaces in my own home, and I want to help others do the same.

Oh, that feeling of holding a new precious life. A well decorated nursery provides the perfect frame to a perfect moment, and creates a perfect memory.
I want every parent who desires a gorgeous nursery to have one, even if they are not artists, or design gurus.
I also want to change the lives of children around the world.

We help new parents have the confidence to design a beautiful nursery for their child by giving them a free “How to Create the Perfect Nursery” Booklet.
Our decals have limited repeat images.
